Obviously, this continues after the Part 10 of the last story, where Knuckles found out that Charmy broke the Master Emerald. And needless to say, Knuckles is out hunting for the pieces, as usual.

I'm going to assume that's a good reaction? But anyway, in case you're confused about the age thing, 16, 16, and 17 were the original ages of Espio, Charmy, and Vector in Knuckles' Chaotix (it said this in the manual), and then in Sonic Heroes, they decided to change their ages to 6, 16, and 20. Now, on with Part 3.
