Elements of Power Comic Scraps
« on: Mar 06 2012, 06:52 PM »
This is something I started on sometime last week, out of boredom, when my internet connection was down. This is, in fact, the first sprite comic I've made in over a year, ever since I finished Knuckles' Chaotix: The Last Story. Now, before anyone gets their hopes up (or down), this is not a full-fledged comic series. This is just a compilation of random scenes from my Elements of Power fanfic series, involving each of my Elemental Goddess fancharacters.

Now, before I begin, I would just like to make it clear that I take no credit for ripping or creating any of the sprites and backgrounds I've used for this comic (or any of the previous ones I've made over the years). Most of them came from sites like The Mystical Forest Zone, Backgrounds HQ, and many others I can't remember off the top of my head. The Elemental Goddess sprites, on the other hand, were made by Azuroru/Opal the Rabbit.

Well, now that that's out of the way, here's the comic:

Now, in case anyone's confused as to what's going on, here's an explanation:

Panel #1- This scene came from Legend of the Elemental Gems Part 3. Nack/Fang and Bean were pissed off at Robotnik for backing out on a deal he made with them a while ago, so they decided that they were going to take the money he owes them by force.

Panel #2- This one's based on Legend of the Elemental Gems Part 6. Charmy's "bee" puns have been a recurring theme throughout the series ever since The Sonic Conspiracy, so naturally, it was the same case with the Elements of Power series. Only this time, however, there are people who actually find them funny (much to other peoples' annoyance), with Splash "beeing" among them.

Panel #3- This panel is based off of the second half of the ending for Elemental Chaos. Slush, who was posing as Dr. Robotnik's ally and secretly leaking information about his plans to the Chaotix team, finally ended up getting caught. I had been meaning to make a reference to the "PINGAS" meme for quite some time, and I just couldn't think of another situation that was more appropriate for it.

Panel #4- This is based on another scene from Elemental Chaos. Sometime after Scorch sealed Iblis in the previous story, Mephiles began formulating a plan to get ahold of the Fire Element Gem in order to release him, so he could proceed with his universal destruction plans. During his "alliance" with Squash, he instigated a fight between the two of them, much like he did with Sonic and Silver in Sonic 2006.

Panel #5- This came from The Goddess of Destruction Part 7. In the previous chapter, Ray and Seedra (as well as all the other heroes) split up into groups of two in order to search for the Elemental Chaos Rings, and when Amy spotted the two of them together, she ended up getting the wrong idea.

Panel #6- A hypothetical scene, based on the EoP Christmas Special. In that story, Amy was under the false impression that Shock was interested in Sonic, not knowing that it was actually Seedra. In this panel, she ends up finding out, and needless to say, she's not very happy about it, as you can see.

Panel #7- This panel is based off of the twelfth and thirteenth chapters of The Goddess of Destruction. As I said in the description for panel #5, the Chaotix and company split into groups of two to hunt for the Elemental Chaos Rings, and Vector and Wechnia happened to be among them. While searching for it, they came across Storm (the Wind Goddess, not the retarded albatross from Sonic Riders), who was in possession of it, and engaged her in battle.

Panel #8- This one came from The Goddess of Destruction Part 17. Cream (along with Cheese and Chocola) began to strike up a friendship with Silvra, and Cream told her that she and the rest of the heroes came to stop EG-005 (pronounced "Eee-Jee-Double-Oh-Five"), not knowing that the two of them were one in the same.

Well, that's about all for now. I'll probably make more in the future, if I could think of some more ideas.

This is something else I made out of boredom, based on The Goddess of Destruction Part 7. This is a "what-if" scenario, showing what would have happened if Amy used her invisibility technique from Sonic 2006 to eavesdrop on Ray and Seedra's private conversation.

This is a comic that I made, featuring the Elemental Goddesses' interactions with their parallel dimension counterparts, which are going to be introduced in Episode 4: Dimension Chaos.

Panel #1: Featuring Scorch, the Goddess of Fire and Volcana, the Goddesses of Flames. As for what's going on... Volcana most likely impersonated Scorch (using a shapeshifting belt given to her by "Doctor N."; I won't say who that is for the sake of not spoiling anything for Episode 4: Dimensional Chaos), and the latter's pissed off about it. As you can see, Volcana is somewhat of a troll...at least whenever it comes to Scorch.

Panel #2: Featuring Splash, the Goddess of Water, and Oceana (pronounced "Oh-shan-uh"), the Goddess of Waves. In this scene, Splash is repeating a joke that Charmy told her before, and Oceana doesn't find it very funny, since her personality is a bit more serious than Splash's.

Panel #3: Featuring Slush, the Goddess of Ice, and Frostina, the Goddess of Snow. I originally intended for Frostina to have an "icy clear" color scheme, but things weren't turning out right, so I gave her a different one. There isn't a whole lot to say about this one, it's pretty self-explanatory.

Panel #4: Featuring EG-001 ("Eee-Jee-Double-Oh-One")/Squash, the Goddess of Stone and PG-001 (Pee-Jee-Double-Oh-One)/Stonia, the Goddess of Earth. Yeah, I know I use puns a lot, but I couldn't think of anything else.

Panel #5: Featuring EG-002/Seedra, the Goddess of Leaves and PG-002/Woodra, the Goddess of Flora. Like Frostina, I originally intended for Woodra to have a different color scheme (teal), but it was the same outcome as before, so I gave her one based on a palette edit I've done to the Emerald Hill Zone in a Sonic 2 ROM hack I've attempted eight years ago. As you can see in this one, Woodra has a fascination with rhyming words. Nearly everything she says rhymes.

Panel #6: Featuring EG-003/Shock, the Goddess of Lightning and PG-003/Electra, the Goddess of Thunder. In case anyone's wondering what "superhero cartoon" Electra's referring to, then it's Static Shock, which is where that catchphrase was stolen from.

Panel #7: Featuring EG-004/Storm, the Goddess of Wind and PG-004/Tornada, the Goddess of Air. At first, I was going to give Tornada a palette that's similar to Squash's, but I went for Seedra's instead, since I didn't think the former color scheme would look right with a green gem (which is supposed to be a reference to the Wind Stone from Sonic Adventure, which leads to Windy Valley). Plus, the Double Cyclone from Mega Man X4 is also green, so why not? As for what's going on in this panel, Tornada has a very cheerful and upbeat personality (which is the exact opposite of Storm's serious and somewhat uptight personality), even to the point where it's sometimes seen as irritating to other people.

Panel #8: Featuring EG-005/Silvra, the Goddess of All Elements and PG-005/Goldra, the Goddess of All Elements. The two of them have a sort of "good half/evil half" and "mirror opposites" thing going on, with Silvra being the good one, and Goldra being the evil one. Goldra also considers herself to be the superior one, and tries to shove that in Silvra's face in any way she possibly could, even at the expense of unintentionally insulting herself.

As always, I take no credit for ripping or creating any of the sprites (except for the parallel dimension counterparts, which are recolors) and backgrounds. The credits have already been listed in the above post in this thread.

This is yet another comic featuring my Elemental Goddess fancharacters.

This comic in particular, is an idea that I stole from Azuroru (the person listed above, who made the sprites). At another site, she had fighting game-esque quotes listed in her character profiles, and I decided to try something like that with my own, which eventually resulted in this comic being created. As you can already tell by the title, this one's mostly centered around Scorch. I'll also be making one of these for Splash, Slush, and the rest of them, including Volcana and the other Parallel Goddesses, so that'll end up being sixteen of them in all.

The pre-battle quotes are on the left, while the victory quotes are on the right. Now, in case anyone's confused as to what's going on, an explanation can be found below.

Panels #1 & 2: These are the "Normal" battle quotes, which are said to pretty much anybody that Scorch and the others have never encountered.

Panels #3 & 4: This is a reference to Dimensional Chaos Part 5, where Scorch was pissed off at Volcana for using a shapeshifting device to impersonate her, causing the former to be accused of things she didn't do.

Panels #7 & 8: Scorch and Slush used to have a sibling rivalry in the past (as stated in the story), and they're simply saying that this battle reminds them of old times.

Panels #9 & 10: Scorch was referencing the first battle that they had in Elemental Chaos Part 11.

I was originally going to explain all of the panels, but I decided against it, since a lot of them are self-explanatory.

Here's another one, which, as you can see, is centered around Splash this time. In case anyone (is actually paying attention and) needs an explanation for the panels:

Panels #5 & 6: This panel is based is based off of the fifth chapter of Episode 4: Dimensional Chaos. Dr. Nega (Eggman Nega, or "Nega Robotnik" as he's also referred to as in the story) told Oceana a lie, stating that Splash, along with Sonic, Knuckles, the Chaotix, Silver, Blaze, etc. were responsible for destroying his world (when it was actually the work of Iblis), and he also claimed that they intend to destroy hers, as well, by unleashing the Ifrit. Needless to say, she believed it.

Panels #16 & 18: Splash was referencing the events of Episode 3: The Goddess of Destruction, where she and all the others heroes were forced to fight Silvra after she was brainwashed by Dr. Robotnik.

As for the others, I think they're self-explanatory.

In case anyone's wondering, this isn't another of those "Battle Quote" comics. Unlike those, which are mostly hypothetical situations, this one actually pertains to the story. It's basically a preview of things to come in one of the future chapters of Dimensional Chaos.

As I said before, in the "Comic Scraps #2" description in one of my above posts, Silvra and Goldra have a "good half/evil half" thing going on, with the former being the good one, and the latter being the evil one. I have to say, even though I'm the one who made this, even I find myself amazed as to how downright psychotic and evil Goldra is compared to all the other Elemental Goddesses. I'd say she's right up there with the likes of Mephiles, or maybe even Carnage from the Spiderman series.
